W. E. Hill & Sons Violins

The W. E. Hill & Sons workshop produces three distinctive and unique models, based on the finest work of Stradivari, Guarneri, and Bergonzi.

Every instrument is made entirely in our Hampstead workshop.

Messiah Stradivari

Sophisticated, articulate, a consummate nobility of sound combined with a strong presence.

Perfectly proportioned after the best preserved of Stradivari’s oeuvres.

While the original lives in a glass case and cannot be played, the W. E. Hill & Sons ‘Messiah’ can be taken on stage.

Bergonzi

Refined, with a strong personality that has a unique, broad spectrum of colours.

Marked by the best Cremonese makers, Bergonzi created his unique model, sought after by soloists and emulated in the history of W. E. Hill & Sons instruments.

Rode Guarneri del Gesù

Dark, earthy, grounded with a heroic human voice, full of grit and power.

This instrument shows the elegance and sculptural freedom of the maker’s hand.
